Privacy Policy

Passport Reserve ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Passport Reserve mobile app and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. Name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from that provider.
Profile and activity. Photos you upload, tasting notes, ratings, posts, messages, points balance, reward redemptions, and event attendance.
Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Apple and by RevenueCat. We receive a transaction receipt and entitlement status. We do not see your full payment card number.
Device and usage data. Device type, OS version, app version, IP address, crash logs, and basic analytics so we can keep the app working.
Location. Only if you grant permission, and only to surface nearby tastings or check-ins.
2. How We Use Information
- Operate and improve the Service.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Award and redeem Reserve Points and rewards.
- Let you connect with other members and hosts.
- Send transactional email and, with your consent, occasional product updates.
- Detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers that run our infrastructure (Supabase, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, email delivery, error monitoring).
- Other members, when you choose to post publicly, host an event, or join a tasting room.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
- An acquirer in the event of a merger or asset sale, subject to this policy.
4. Your Choices
- Access and edit your profile in the app.
- Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and personal data, subject to limited records we must retain for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Block or report any member or post directly from their profile.
- Revoke permissions (camera, photos, location, notifications) in your device settings at any time.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email via the link in any such email.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. After deletion, backups are purged within 30 days, except where longer retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and scoped access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
7. Children
Passport Reserve is intended for adults of legal drinking age (21+ in the United States). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
8. California, EU, and UK Residents
You have the right to know what personal data we hold, request a copy, request deletion, and object to certain processing. Email us to exercise these rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
